CHRONIC Care Act Signed Into Law

Today, President Trump signing into law the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018, which includes the Creating High-Quality Results and Outcomes Necessary to Improve Chronic (CHRONIC) Care Act of 2017.  The CHRONIC Care Act passed in the Senate in September 2017, supported by both Republican and Democratic members of the Senate Finance Committee.  The CHRONIC Care provisions permanently authorize Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans (SNPs), expand the integration and coverage under Medicare for certain telehealth-based chronic care services, and promote integration of Medicare with Medicaid services to improve the quality of services and supports for persons with functional limitations.
